    A: Hi denna, If you buy and Sell Catering general merchandise, the tax ID you need is called a sales tax ID/Seller's permit. Also note that since you are doing business as (DBA) "Texas Bad Boyz BBQ," that DBA requires a trade name registration also called a Doing business As (DBA) certificate. However, even setting up an LLC or forming a corporation will have the same effect: namely, registering your trade business name.
